the organized knitter - handmade knitting needle cases

about the company

The Organized Knitter is a small company started by Megan Reardon in 2003. Unable to find knitting needle cases which fit all of her needs, Megan sought the advice of her friends who were long time knitters and created several original designs which became her signature product. Working out of her small studio in Seattle, Megan makes each case herself, most as they are ordered.

The Organized Knitter needle cases are handmade, built with durable materials with both classic and modern appeal. No zippers, velcro or other yarn-snagging materials are used. Cases are designed to hold combinations of straight, circular and double-pointed needles. Slim card pockets allow for one to label the needle sizes for circular and double-pointed needles, a widely requested feature. The fold-and-wrap case design ensures that needles will not be able to fall out.

Megan has several knitting patterns published in the online magazine Knitty. She also has two patterns in the book Knit Wit by Amy R. Singer, as well as two patterns to be published in a forthcoming book in the autumn of 2005.
